The purpose of the Transfer Center

As a community college that grants associates degrees, our goal is to assist and encourage students to enter and complete baccalaureate programs at four-year institutions. The mission of the Transfer Center is to increase the number of students, especially minority students, who transfer to four-year institutions.

The department provides the following services:

• College Fairs Admissions representatives from various colleges and universities throughout Illinois participate in our transfer college fairs twice a year
• Admission Representatives from colleges and universities regularly schedule visits on Daley College’s campus
• Workshops and Information on the admission/ transfer process to colleges and universities
• Informational Seminars on college majors coordinated with academic deans and advisors from four-year institutions.
• Computer Resources to assist with deciding on a major field of study, exploring universities, colleges, and determining transfer options.
• College Resource Center that features over 12,500 catalogs of U.S. two-year, four-year , and graduate schools.
• One-on-One Advising Sessions with advisors from Illinois colleges and universities to assist with selecting Daley College courses that will transfer and meet degree requirements. In addition, appointments may be made to meet with our transfer advisors.
• College Reference Library complete with university and college applications, brochures, catalogs, scholarships, and other transfer information.
• Illinois Articulation Initiative , a state of Illinois initiative to assist student transferring between colleges and universities within Illinois.

Mondays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fridays: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
