Student Life

Daley College and Arturo Velasquez Institute students are given many opportunities for social and recreational development. The various Daley College Student Clubs, Organizations and Student Government Association sponsor charity drives, guest speakers, movie days, cook outs, fundraisers, and many other cultural, social and developmental events throughout the year. All students are urged to take advantage of these opportunities and participate in these student activities. It is a belief at Daley College that it is important to develop a student - academically, physically and socially.

Student Activities exists as the operational office which plans and directs all student-initiated major college-wide programs. It is the responsibility of this office to remain keenly aware of student interests concerning social programs and entertainment. This office relies on the support of the entire student body for the success of the program. Whether you partici­pate in the development of the program or are an enthusiastic spectator, this office exists for you - the student..

It is our hope that you explore the Student Activities Center on the lower level and decide to join the Student Government Association or any one of the many great Student Organizations Daley offers.

Services include:assistance in forming student clubs and organizations, volunteer community service opportunities, authorization and distribution of college-wide bulletin board postings including buying/selling books, and community announcements,
