The staff conduct workshops and seminars throughout the academic year on various topics such as: Resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, choosing careers, majors and other related items. Workshops and seminars are open to all students, staff, and alumni. A full schedule of workshop topics, dates, times and locations will be available during the semester. Interviewing Concerned about your interviewing skills? Worried about your ability to sell yourself in an interview? Our office can help prepare you to do your best in the interview. If you would like to practice for the interview, you can schedule a “mock interview” with a representative, who will assume the role of an employment interviewer and take you through a simulated interview. You can also be videotaped to assess your performance. Job Fairs Daley College holds two annual job fairs, one in the fall semester and one during the spring semester. These job fairs give our students the chance to speak with local area employers about employment opportunities. Employers are also valuable resources for employment trends. Internships A unique component of the Placement Center is internships which provided individuals with opportunities to work alongside professionals to gain experience as well as aid individuals in making career decisions.
