Academic advisors make the difference between being prepared for the next step or running into road blocks to your future. Whether you are transferring or going directly into the job market, you need good advice.

How do you know what direction to take? How do you know if you are taking the right courses? How do you know if you will be able to fulfill your goals without checking with someone who knows the environment? We are here to guide you through your education.
Our mission is to develop an interactive, informative and supportive environment where all students can access resources, explore, plan, make decisions, and evaluate their academic and career goals.

Students visit with an advisor for several reasons. The most frequent reasons are:

Creating an educational plan and/or setting up a class schedule
Evaluate Transcripts
Identifying the courses needed toward graduation
Obtaining information about career and major options
Getting started at Richard J. Daley College
Obtaining transfer information
Reviewing the academic progress
Referring students to resources available at the College and the community.

Advising Hours
Academic Advising is available to all students as a resource to support your academic success. Advisors are available on an appointment preference basis during the following hours. Walk-in service is available on Fridays and peak registration advising periods.

Tuesday 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
Wednesday 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
Thursday 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
