Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center of Richard J. Daley College is under the direct supervision of the Office of Instruction, and serves students from Daley College and Arturo Velasquez Institute with all tutoring needs.

In the past year, the Tutoring Department has tutored more than 5,700 students. Of these, over 95 percent of the students assert they were very satisfied with the tutoring services while 4 percent were satisfied with services.

Of the 25 Academic Success staff, more than 30 percent have graduate degrees. Our Tutoring Department has 24 computers where students can access math, accounting tutorial software and use for basic MS Office functions. Students who utilize the tutoring services have commented that the Academic Success Center assisted them in being better prepared to complete their degree. Students often return to the Center proclaiming their academic success and credit their performance to the invaluable assistance they have received from the tutors.

Tutoring is vital for increased student matriculation, and the Academic Success Center is here to assist all Daley/AVI students in attaining academic success.
