Hours of Operation:
The Daley Adult Education Program Office (Room 502, Building 500) is open:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 9:45 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Staff members who speak English, Arabic, Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and Spanish are available to assist students with program inquiries.

For the purpose of compliance with Section 511 of Public Law 101-166 (the Stevens Amendment), it is hereby stated that a percentage of federal funds is used to support the provision and promotion of the instructional services offered through the Adult Education Program at Richard J. Daley College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago.


Enrollment and Enrollment Requirements

Approximately 5,300 students are enrolled in over 240 class sections this semester. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled on campus, approximately 1,700 at the West Side Technical Institute, and over 600 students attend classes at off-campus locations.

To enroll in Adult Education classes, each student must be at least 19 years of age. Students who are 16, 17 or 18 years of age may enroll if they are no longer enrolled in other secondary educational programs. With the exception of English ABE/GED, all students must make placement testing appointments before registering for classes. Although classes are offered free of charge, student must also complete registration forms and provide photograph identification and address verification before registering for classes. Acceptable forms of address verification include State of Illinois driver's licenses and identification cards, Mediplan statements, and/or utility bills. Student orientation sessions are also scheduled as part of the registration and enrollment process.

Adult Education Library & Other Student Support Services
The Daley Adult Education Program Library (Room 500, Building 500) houses more than 32,000 books on campus and another 6,000 books at seven off-campus locations. The Adult Education Program Library also offers computer assisted instructional software (NOVANET and ELLIS), audio and videotape cassettes, and related instructional materials. Daley Adult Education Program also uses computer and language laboratories located in the main college facility.

The Adult Education Program Library is open Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m.to 9:45 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
