After Acceptance
- After being admitted to Daley College, each international student must be registered on the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (More information visit USCIS) Form 1-20, which may be obtained from Daley’s Office of Admissions, facilitates this registration, and furnishes students with a SEVIS identification number.
- Students residing outside the U.S. must present the completed form I-20 (or Certificate of Eligibility) to a U.S. Counsel or U.S. Embassy official to obtain a student, or F-1 visa.
- Individuals currently residing in the U.S. on B-1 / B-2 visitor status may not study here. They must return to their home countries and apply for admission, and for an F-1 visa, from outside the U.S.
- Students currently in the U.S. on other dependent visas may be eligible to study here without changing status to F-1. (A, L, E and H visas, for example).
- International students wishing to transfer to Daley College from another U.S. educational institution must obtain a release from that school’s Designated School Official (DSO) or Principal Designated School Official (PDSO).
- Upon enrollment at Daley College, international students must show proof of, or purchase from the College, health insurance.
- If employed, each student must complete an Employment Verification Form
- Students must keep their passports valid and meet all other conditions for maintaining F-1 student visa status. Maintaining F-1 Student Status Form
- While tuition is the same for all international students, overall expenses will vary with the type of courses elected, lodging chosen and number of dependants the student has.
